GameCube Ikaruga ranking mode

Infogrames has opened the official site for the Japanese version of Ikaruga on the GameCube. The site contains some basic information on the game as well as new details regarding the ranking mode. After clearing the challenge mode, players will receive a code that can be entered on the Web site, which will display the best players from around the world. Interestingly, Infogrames says there are plans to make a commemorative trophy for the player who receives the highest rank.

The GameCube version of Ikaruga is scheduled for release in Japan on January 16.
