Game Boy, GBA Games Coming To Nintendo Switch Online Including Link's Awakening, Metroid 2

Even more free games are coming to the Nintendo Switch Online subscription service.

Nintendo revealed its latest slate of games for the Nintendo Switch Online service during today's Nintendo Direct presentation. The service continues to get even bigger, with some surprise heavy hitters. We're finally getting both Game Boy and Game Boy Advance games on the service, like The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening DX and Super Mario Land 2 among many other excellent additions.

The full list of GameBoy games coming to the service is listed below:

New Switch Online Games

  • Tetris
  • Super Mario land 2
  • Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening DX
  • Gargoyle's Quest
  • Game And Watch Gallery 3
  • Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare
  • Metroid II: Return of Samus
  • Wario Land 3
  • Kirby's Dream Land

Following that announcement, Nintendo also revealed that GameBoy Advance games are coming to the Switch Online + Expansion Pass bundle (finally!). Those games are:

  • WarioWare Inc Mega Microgames
  • Kuru Kuru Kurrin
  • Mario Kart Super Circuit
  • Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga

Nintendo Switch Online has expanded considerably since its early days of only including NES and SNES games. The Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pass bundle also includes access to a selection of Nintendo 64 titles--including GoldenEye--as well as Sega Genesis games.
