Following the news that Kristin Wiig will play the main villain, Cheetah, in Wonder Woman 2, another big piece of casting news for the action movie has been announced. Pedro Pascal, who is known for Game of Thrones and Narcos, has signed on for a big part in the sequel.

There are no details yet about the character Pascal will play, but Entertainment Weekly reports that it is a "key role." The film will reportedly take place in the 1980s during the Cold War. As Variety reminds us, Pascal has worked with Wonder Woman writer-director Patty Jenkins before, on the 2015 TV movie Exposed.

Pascal played Oberyn Martell on Game of Thrones, while he played DEA agent Javier Pena on Narcos. More recently, he appeared in Kingsman: The Golden Circle.
