Kristian Nairn, who you may know as Hodor in Game of Thrones, is a big fan of video games. In a recent interview with Game Informer, Nairn talked about his history of playing games and his favorites.

"Oh yeah, I spend way too much of my life playing video games," he said. "I'm kind of multiformat, I'm on the road a lot, laptop gaming for me is where it's at. If it's not on a laptop or a mobile phone or a mobile phone unfortunately I can't really play it.

"I've been playing games since the ZX Spectrum, before that I had Atari computers as well. I've always been a gamer."

As for his favorites, Nairn is currently one of the 3.3 million players that are adventuring in World of Warcraft's latest expansion, Legion.

"I'm just so deeply into that game. I've been playing since launch and man, it just has me by the balls. It always has had and I think it always will. I'm also playing a bunch of app games as well, King of Avalon. I've spent way too much time and money on that one too."

Nairn also voices a character in World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor: "I'm a dungeon Orc in Warlords of Draenor. That was like a dream come true, it's so weird going to a dungeon in your favourite game and hearing your own voice. I kind of enjoy killing myself, which is a strange sentence...It's kind of gratifying to loot your own corpse.

"The thing I love about Blizzard is they're as much into the game as we are...They're just crazy geeks and that just made me love them even more. It's more than a game to them, they're really passionate about it."

As noted in the video, Nairn has a marketing agreement with King of Avalon to promote the title. He says it is one of the first mobile games that showed they could be in-depth, with features such as guilds.

He also discussed the gaming presence on the set of Game of Thrones, which involved competitive Angry Birds and Harry Potter: Spells. Check out the full interview above.

The seventh season of Game of Thrones will reportedly arrive later than previous seasons, which have usually premiered in April each year. HBO is believed to be interested in using more wintery locations that in the past, which means pushing production back.

Season 7 is expected to debut in 2017, with an eighth and potentially final season presumably premiering the next year. Showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss have talked about how Seasons 7 and 8 may be shorter than the rest, spanning 13 episodes between them; all previous seasons had 10 episodes.
