Galactic Civilizations II expansion rockets to factory

First expansion to turn-based strategy game completes development, in stores February 14.

For fans of the Galactic Civilizations games, the vast depths of space just got one step closer to being vaster and deeper. Stardock Entertainment today announced that the first expansion to Galactic Civilizations II: Dread Lords has completed development. Galactic Civilizations II: Dark Avatar is scheduled for release on February 14 on the PC.

The game adds several new features to the turn-based strategy game, including the ability to create opponents' looks and style of play, spies, asteroid fields, two new races, a new minicampaign, and more.

Dark Avatar will be sold via digital distribution for $29.95 on Stardock's TotalGaming.net Web site, or as part of the Galactic Civilizations II: Gold Edition bundle, which includes Dread Lords, for $39.95. For more information on the game, read GameSpot's previous coverage.
