No Caption Provided The annual geek gala, Comic-Con 2010, opens its doors later this week, but Nintendo fans eager to see new games today can enjoy eight new titles spanning multiple genres for WiiWare and DSiWare.

One of the more prominent releases for WiiWare this week is Furry Legends (1,000 Wii points, or $10). From Polish development studio Gamelion, the fuzzy adventure game takes place in a fully 3D world known as Furland. Players take control of a fluffy Furball with unique powers and must solve physics-based puzzles to take down the nefarious Lord Squarie.

Also hitting WiiWare this week is HoopWorld (1,000 Wii points, or $10) from Virtual Toys. This one-to-two player game was first announced as an Xbox Live Arcade title and has since become a WiiWare exclusive. The arcade "basketbrawler" game pits two teams of three against each other and features power-ups, an assortment of playable characters, and various courts drawn in the likeness of sacred fictional temples.

The third game to arrive on WiiWare this week is Aquaforce (600 Wii points, or $6). From Nintendo, the title lets players maintain and manipulate a virtual aquarium. The game features a fully pictured fish encyclopedia with scientific names and habitats for players seeking a deeper level of knowledge concerning their maritime creatures. Additionally, the game houses "dozens" of fish, and gamers can send their Mii characters into the tank to feed the slimy aquatic vertebrates.

Switching to DSiWare, Nintendo added five new games to the download hub this week from publishers like Ubisoft, Electronic Arts, Hands-On Mobile, and others. One of the more momentous releases this week is Petz Kittens (800 DSi points, or $8). The game lets players adopt any one of a variety of feline breeds and raise them from fledgling youth to sturdy adult.

Also arriving on DSiWare this week is the latest attachment to the Scrabble series. Scrabble Tools (500 DSi points, or $5) is a one-to-four player game that players can use to hone their word-creation strategies. The game sports interactive training exercises aimed at helping players increase their vocabulary, buff their pattern recognition ability, and learn new point generation strategies.

From Hands-On Mobile this week comes Hospital Havoc (500 DSi points, or $5). This single-player comical time-management strategy game puts players in the shoes of a doctor's aid. As the assistant, gamers are tasked with admitting, diagnosing, and treating as many patients as possible. The game features three levels of difficulty, 20 career levels, 19 possible illnesses, various challenging situations, and more.

Also landing on DSiWare this week is Happy Birthday Mart (500 DSi points) from Pixel Federation. This single-player game puts players in the shoes of a not-so-regular shopkeeper who sells items to animals. The title features six unique stores, 12 animals, and 24 minigames.

The final game dropping onto DSiWare this week is Crazy Sudoku (200 DSi points, or $2). From dtp Entertainment, the game puts the popular puzzler in gamers' pockets. The title accommodates newcomers and experienced players alike and sports five difficulty levels. The game also features two grid sizes: 9-by-9 and 6-by-6, a note scribing features, and a two-player mode.
