According to the latest issue of Famitsu magazine, Square Enix is making another sequel to its Fullmetal Alchemist action RPG series for the PlayStation 2. Slated for release in Japan during the summer of 2005, the game will be titled Hagane no Renkinjutsushi 3: Kami o Tsugu Shoujo, which roughly translates into English as Fullmetal Alchemist 3: The girl that succeeds God.

Kami o Tsugu Shoujo will follow a new exclusive storyline not featured in the original manga series. The game will take place in a metropolis named Valdora, which is known for its legend about a witch. Kami o Tsugu Shoujo seems to play with similar cel-shaded graphics as its previous series installment, but this time, gamers will control Alphonse Elric as well as his older brother Edward. Players will be able to freely switch between the two characters at any time. Kami o Tsugu Shoujo also has a cooperative mode, which is played via split-screen with one gamer controlling Alphonse and the other using Edward.
