Game Developer Magazine reveals finalists - winners to be announced at GDC next month.

Game Developer Magazine on Thursday announced its finalists for the second annual Game Developer Front Line Awards. The awards are given to those who have contributed to yearly game development products and technology tools. Contestants were selected to fill in 14 categories for programming, art, audio, production tools, and graphics and audio hardware.

The award winners will be announced on the first evening of the 1999 Game Developers Conference from March 15-19 in San Jose.

Along with the 14 awards, one product will be inducted into the Front Line Awards Hall of Fame, chosen for its outstanding contribution to game development.

This year's finalists include Intel, Microsoft, The Motion Factory, Kinetix, Adobe, Diamond Multimedia, 3Dlabs, Yamaha, Symantec, and others.
