This is described as an "entry-level" version of PES 2016--it's somewhat limited. You can play Exhibition mode with seven teams, including Bayern Munich, Juventus, AS Roma, Brazil, and France. The free version also includes the game's training mode and the team-building mode myClub.

Konami notes that PES 2016's free version on PC, as is also the case with the PS4 and PS3 versions, will continue to see gameplay updates like roster changes throughout the season.

With its release for PC this week, the free-to-play version is now available on all platforms that the full version of the game is, except for Xbox One and Xbox 360. Konami has not said if it plans to bring the game to Microsoft's systems.

GameSpot's Pro Evolution Soccer 2016 review scored the game a 9/10. Reviewer Rob Crossley said it "represents the best game in the series since the PlayStation 2 era."
