Free Street Fighter-Themed DLC Now Available in Monster Hunter Generations

The first Friday of the month means new Generations DLC.

Another batch of free downloadable content for Monster Hunter Generations is now available, the highlight of which is gear based on Street Fighter and designs from Square Enix's Tetsuya Nomura.

Both of the Street Fighter sets are for felynes, rather than your character. You'll need to complete only a single Prowler quest, SF: Ultimate Entrance Exam, to earn Blanka and Chun-Li sets. It won't necessarily be easy, as the quest tasks you with hunting both a Volvidon and a Great Maccao.

As for the gear designed by Nomura, who is best known as a designer for the Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts, you'll have to hunt a Hyper Deviljho in the Voracious King quest. Rewards for doing so include the Wing of Judgment weapon and two sets of armor called the Rage and Anat sets. These are pictured below.

A number of other new gear sets are also available through the newly added quests. There's also the usual assortment of new Arena challenges, special palicoes, and extras, including a disco ball costume for your pet. You can see a full list on Capcom's blog.

All of this is available for free now through the in-game DLC menu. Generations receives new DLC for free on the first Friday of every month. Past months have seen the release of content themed around Devil May Cry, Zelda, and Mario.
