We're now partway into the new month, and if you haven't already done so, you can claim February's free PlayStation Plus games on PS4, PS3, and Vita. There's a total of six for subscribers to download spread across the three platforms. Thanks to Cross-Buy, PS4 gets the most, though notably, this marks the final month in which PS3 and Vita games will be offered through the service.

For February, all PS Plus members can freely download Hitman - The Complete First Season, For Honor, Divekick, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, Gunhouse, and Rogue Aces. Hitman, For Honor, Rogue Aces, and Gunhouse are available on PS4, while Metal Gear Solid and Divekick are for PS3. Rogue Aces, Gunhouse, and Divekick can also be downloaded for free on PS Vita.

This is the last month that players can expect PS3 and Vita titles in the PS Plus line-up, but all Plus subscribers are getting an extra 100 GB of cloud storage in exchange. For this month, all PS4 titles will be available through March 5, while the PS3 and Vita games will stick around until March 8.

If you own Hitman 2, you may want to take advantage of this deal to download its predecessor. After downloading 2016's Hitman, as well as its latest patch, go to its in-game store to redeem and download the Legacy Pack. Once that's installed, you can unlock Hitman's levels in Hitman 2, which keeps you from having to switch back and forth between the two titles when you're playing.

Although it's not one of the games that's a part of PS Plus' line-up, Apex Legends just launched and it's a free-to-play battle royale game. You don't need a PS Plus subscription to play Apex, but if you have one, you'll unlock some free rewards in the game. With a subscription, you'll get two PlayStation-themed skins for the firearms Flatline and RE45, as well as cosmetic skins and banners for Gibraltar and Bloodhound.

From the creators of Titanfall and Titanfall 2, Apex Legends offers a squad-focused, hero-based spin on the battle royale formula. Taking place in the Titanfall universe, Apex has you and two teammates pick from a roster of eight unique Legends--each with their own unique abilities--and face off against 19 other teams on a massive battleground. Despite the lack of the Titanfall series' staple wall-running mechanics and Titans, Apex is off to a strong start, having reached 1 million players within the first eight hours of its release. Our review of the game is on its way, but until then, check out our review if you're on the fence about downloading Apex.

may be a one off but Hitman Complete season 1 is free to keep forever even after your ps plus runs out. be nice if they did this with 1 game a month from march onwards

@s7eventhheaven: i doubt there going give a $60 game a month for a $50 sub service

@sinister432: i know a bit of a long shot but like i said Hitman the complete season is free this month for subs and its free to keep. you dont have to have ps + to keep playing it. dont think its a $60 game though more like $25 but free is free i guess

Kind of sad this is the last month for free PS3 and Vita games.

I have to wonder though, when Sony shuts down PSN on PS3/Vita what happens to the games you downloaded? The terms say "you get access as long as you have a PSN+ Subscription." What happens when the PS3 can't "phone home" anymore? What happens if you still have a PS+ account? Lots of unanswered questions.

@dragonsama: Hey wanted know too because I have no idea. This games require an active PSN subscription in order for them to be playable. I have to believe that if and when it happens and there is no more PS service no longer available for this consoles that Sony will remove the requirement to have a subscription to play the game and let you play the games that you already own without the need of an active subscription. At least that's what I believe it will happen but you never know what to expect from greedy Sony

Pretty good month for freebies but considering all the controversy surrounding this being the last month of free PS Vita/PS3 titles being offered I’m sure Sony figured they couldn’t get away with a completely lackluster bunch of offerings.

It’s kind of cruel in a way as this is the month of love/Valentine’s yet Sony will be dealing a crushing heart blow to those on the aforementioned consoles.

With that being said any out there that have for some reason missed out on Meta Gear Solid 4 do yourself a favor and play this masterpiece. In terms of ending a series (in terms of its chronology.) I can’t think of a series that did it better. Absolutely loved my time with it and it has become one of those games that I don’t think I will ever forget.

Really enjoyed my time with that game. I actually really liked it, much more than I thought I would.

I’m not a huge puzzle genre gamer (in terms of the gameplay being puzzle based.) but the story segments between challenges had me wanting to know what was going to happen next.
