Jungle Storm brings the Predator to the Bolivian jungle.

Following an earlier tease, Ubisoft has officially announced that new content themed around Predator is headed to Ghost Recon: Wildlands. The Jungle Storm update coming this week will introduce new cosmetics and a class based on the classic film, but most significantly, it offers a limited-time mission where you square off against the Predator.

Meant to celebrate the 30-year anniversary of the original Predator, which released back in 1987, the update will arrive for free on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The Predator Special Challenge will be available from then until "early January" and allows players to "face the Predator in the game's ultimate hunt." It's playable in single-player or online co-op, the latter of which may be ideal as the challenge is described as the game's "most difficult fight of all."

If you manage to kill the Predator, you'll earn access to some exclusive new items. Chief among these is the Predator mask, which features a new Predator vision mode. Additionally, the in-game store will offer the Predator Pack, providing access to new customization items, weapons, and "an exclusive close combat move," all of which are meant to let you "recreate some of the most memorable characters from the original movie." You can see some shots of this in the images below; there are also some comparisons of the movie and the game.

The final piece of Predator-themed content is a new class for Ghost War, Wildlands' PvP mode. This was inspired by Dutch, the character played by Arnold Schwarzenegger in the movie. Few specifics were shared, but Ubisoft says the class allows players to enter Battle Rage mode, "a new alternative to create strategies and tactics on the PvP battleground." This class is available through the Ghost War Pass or season pass, or by purchasing it with Prestige Points.

Ubisoft will also add a new Pathfinder class, ranked play, gear, and other gameplay updates for Ghost War, with the base game also benefiting from some of the latter improvements. All of this arrives on December 14.
