Free Disney+ One-Month Subscription Now Available With Xbox Game Pass

Following a tease for some sort of Star Wars- or Mandalorian-themed news from the Xbox Game Pass Twitter account, Microsoft has announced what you might have already guessed. A free 30-day subscription to Disney+ is now available as the latest Xbox Game Pass Ultimate perk, allowing you to dive in and watch The Mandalorian, The Simpsons, Marvel movies, or any of the other content on Disney's streaming service.

The important caveat is that this 30-day subscription can't be tacked onto your existing membership; this is for new members only. You could always put your existing membership on hold and create a new account to take advantage, though. The promotion, which is detailed more fully on Xbox Wire, follows a similar one for Fortnite players who make a purchase on the in-game store to receive a free two-month Disney+ subscription. It's the latest perk for Game Pass Ultimate; others have included free DLC for games. This comes on top of the more standard benefits of Game Pass (namely, access to a large library of games).

"All we're gonna say is that we're not posting The Mandalorian and The Child for no reason," the teaser tweet said on Sunday. The account is known for its humorous style and tone ahead of future announcements, and this latest tweet quickly paid off.

Season 2 of The Mandalorian will wrap up on December 18, so if you want to watch it all within 30 days, give it some time before you begin your trial.

This tweet came not long after Microsoft announced that Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order was releasing on Xbox Game Pass on November 10, which is the day that EA Play--the service formerly known as EA Access--gets folded into Game Pass.
