The 4 billionth Halo 2 game was played online last week and almost 4 million users have registered to play the game online, according to game developer Bungie. On its official Web site, the company said, "We have officially surged over the 4 billion games played mark, a little under two years after the game's launch." The most popular multiplayer game style is Team Slayer, making up almost a fifth of the games played. Halo 2 is a first-person shooter originally released for the Xbox in November 2004 and will be ported to the PC sometime next year. It remains one of the most popular games on Xbox Live, despite not being a 360 title. The highly anticipated Halo 3 is due out sometime in 2007 on the Xbox 360.
