Fortnite XP Coins Locations: Where To Collect XP Coins For Week 9 Midas' Mission Challenge

Here are some tips on where to find XP Coins to complete one of Week 9's Midas' Mission challenges.

Week 9's challenges are now live in Fortnite. This week introduces the first set of Midas' Mission challenges, some of which fittingly revolve around gold. One asks you to search Midas' golden llama, while another asks you to find five XP Coins. This is easier than it may initially sound, but if you need help completing this challenge, here's what to do.

Where Are The XP Coin Locations?

XP Coins are large tokens that you can find all across the island. These have been around since the start of Season 2, but more have been gradually appearing as the season has progressed, so there are now a ton of them scattered around. Unfortunately, any XP Coins that you've previously collected won't count toward this challenge, but it still shouldn't be too hard to find five.

You can tell when one of the tokens is around by the distinctive noise it makes when you're nearby. The coins also come in four different varieties--orange, purple, blue, and green--which dole out different amounts of XP and have different conditions depending on their color; the blue coins, for instance, are only around for a short time, so you need to collect those before they disappear.

As previously mentioned, there are a lot of coins around the island, so you'll likely come across a few of them just by playing normally. If you want to finish the challenge quickly, though, you can head to Slurpy Swamp; there's a purple coin by the Slurp factory and four green coins in the swamp around it, making that a good place to look.

How To Complete The Challenge

You only need to find five XP Coins to complete this challenge, and it doesn't matter what color the XP Coins are; any five will do. With that in mind, it would probably be best to stick to green and blue coins, as those are the easiest to find and collect. Purple ones, while they give out much more XP, also burst into several different pieces when you touch them, and you need to collect each of those in order for that one coin to be counted.

Once you've found a coin, simply interact with it to collect it. Do that five times and the challenge will be complete.

Season 2 of Fortnite Chapter 2 was slated to end this month, on April 30, but Epic recently announced it was extending the season into early June, giving you a bit more time to complete any weekly challenges that you may have missed. If you need some help clearing those, you can find all of our maps and guides in our Fortnite Season 2 challenges roundup.
