Fortnite Week 6 Challenge Guide: How To Catch A Weapon At Stack Shack

Fortnite: Chapter 2, Season 3, Week 6 challenges are available now, and this one sends you to Stack Shack to go fishing.

Fortnite: Chapter 2, Season 3 has made its Week 6 challenges available. One challenge will send you to a location that isn't listed on the map, and might be hard to find if you don't know what you're looking for. The challenge asks you to catch a weapon at Stack Shack. This guide will show you how to find Stack Shack and what it means to "catch a weapon." The challenge went live on Thursday, July 23. You can try it out for yourself now.

Where Is The Stack Shack?

The Stack Shack is located on the outskirts of the Fortnite Season 3 map, west of Holly Hedges. It's an island with a single shack filled with fishing gear and loot. There is nothing but water surrounding it so it is hard to miss. You can find it in the A4 tile on the map. Check out the image below for an exact location. Head there early, or the storm is likely to swallow it up.

How Do I Catch A Weapon?

Once you're at Stack Shack all you'll need to do is grab one of the fishing poles in the barrel outside the building and then go fishing. There are usually several fishing spots, little white splashes of water with fish jumping in an out, scattered around the island. You can't throw your fishing hook into just anywhere in the water—you need one of these spots. I encountered two when I visited this week.

You'll need to reel in a weapon (not a fish or other item) though, which isn't guaranteed. You may have to visit this island multiple times in order to complete the challenge.

You'll get 35,000 experience points for catching a weapon at Stack Shack. Be sure to gas up a vehicle at Catty Corner as well to get closer to unlocking the entire battle pass.
