Fortnite Update 14.50 Brings Jetpacks Back To The Battle Royale
The new update brings a ton of changes to the game.
Fortnite's 14.50 update puts Halloween in the rear-view mirror as the battle royale heads into the home stretch of Season 4. Regular playlists, including Marvel Knockout, have returned alongside a number of cosmetic changes and a new item.
Stark Jetpacks, a new item that helps you fly for a short time, have been added to the game. It's the first time jetpacks have been added back to the battle royale in two years. They can be found in normal chests and they break after a certain number of uses.
Galactus, the villain in Season 4's Marvel madness, is much closer now. Players can see him in the distance flying towards the island. We could see a major story event happen before the end of the season.
The Ruins, a location that took over the center of the map during Fortnitemares, no longer contains Shadow Midas and his henchmen. The witch shacks and other Halloween-related decorations have been removed. Other small changes have been made to the map, including the addition of a new secret challenge. Pay respects at this gnome statue near Slurpy Swamp in order to earn 20,000 experience points. It's a nice boost that should help you get through Season 4's extra-long grind.
New cosmetic changes, including a number of small fixes to skins, have come with this update. New files also indicate a bundle with the Joker, Poison Ivy, and Midas will be added to the game on November 17. New variations of some skins have also been added. Players who own those skins will receive them for free.
Fortnite is getting a new Ghost Rider skin tomorrow. Players will need to compete (and place well) in a Marvel Knockout tournament in order to unlock him early. Everyone else will have to buy him in the item shop.
