Fortnite: The Authority Ziplining Guide
The Authority is one of the hottest locations on the map--here's how to get in, complete the challenge, and get out alive.
The second week of Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 3 is here with a number of new challenges that will push you to explore the map. A particularly frisky challenge will take you to The Authority, the newly upgraded version of the Agency. It's simple: Use different Ziplines at The Authority. This guide will show you how to get to The Authority and where to ride all those ziplines. After you do that, you can take on other Season 3 challenges and get ready for Aquaman. You won't want to miss what's coming.
Where is The Authority?
The Authority is a semi-new location on the Season 3 map. It's the big fortress in the center where The Agency was for the majority of Season 2. It's got walls on all sides that lead into the water with a tower fortress, helipad, and courtyard in the middle.
How Do I Use a Zipline?
Ziplines are scattered around The Authority leading from the outer wall to the courtyard inside. All you need to do is run up to them and press the button prompt that comes up. You'll need to ride eight different ziplines in the authority in order to complete the challenge, meaning you'll need to ride every line there. The best strategy to use in this scenario is to land on the outer edge of The Authority, run into one of the bunkers, and grab the weapon inside before zipping around the fortress. There will be NPC-controlled henchman and other players there so be ready for a fight when you land.
Fortunately, this challenge doesn't need to be complete in a single match, so you can take your time with it. You can spot ziplines as you glide down to the map from the battle bus, so it shouldn't be too difficult to ride at least one per match.
What Reward to I Get For Completing This Challenge?
Zipping across all of The Authority's lines will net you 40,000 experience points to give your battle pass level a nice boost.
