Fortnite Teases Fallout Crossover Ahead Of Post-Apocalyptic Chapter 5 Season 3

War never changes, but Fortnite changes about every three months.

Fortnite. Fortnite frequently changes. The next big change for Fortnite, Chapter 5 Season 3, is expected to kick off next week, and today Epic has let a major detail out into the open: A Fallout collaboration is on the way. Depicted in our first bit of art for the next season is the iconic Power Armor helmet from the Fallout franchise, as well as a pair of emojis in the tweet that act as a stand-in for the blonde-haired Vault Boy who is so intertwined with the Fallout universe.

The Fallout collab comes just a few weeks after the new Amazon Prime Video series became a huge hit, and is just the latest in a years-long run of Epic's gargantuan video game platform staying in lockstep with pop-culture moments happening elsewhere.

It's not yet clear exactly what the crossover will entail, but an in-game skin seems like the bare minimum. Perhaps the new map and/or weapons will also be inspired by Bethesda's post-apocalyptic franchise.

The image also interestingly features what looks to be a massive dust storm and some sort of industrial tanks, lending credibility to the rumor that Chapter 5 Season 3 will feature some Mad Max-like dieselpunk inspirations, including an emphasis on vehicle combat--and likely a Furiosa crossover too.
