Fortnite Season 3 Chapter 4 Best Landing Spots

Land at these spots for some solid action and loot.

Comments

As with any major Fortnite update, Chapter 3 Season 4 has brought along some substantial changes to the popular battle royale's map. Plenty of POIs have received complete overhauls now that the Chrome has made its presence known--and things are looking pretty shiny these days. With so many fresh spots to land, you may be wondering at which location you want to begin your games. We've got you covered here with some of the best spots you can land in Fortnite Season 3 Chapter 4.

Best landing spots in Fortnite Season 3 Chapter 4

Cloudy Condos

Condo Canyon has been completely redesigned as Cloudy Condos due to the arrival of the Chrome. This popular POI has been lifted entirely into the sky and features a lot of vertical ziplines to assist you with getting up and down from the various bridges connecting all of the buildings. Due to it receiving such a drastic change this season, it's a hot spot that enjoys a lot of action, so if you're looking to get into fights early, this is a solid option for you. It helps that there's plenty of loot to go around for everyone, too.

Cloudy Condos is also a great spot to land due to the high-security vault just outside the POI to the north. If you survive and explore a bit, there's a decent chance that you and your squad will walk out of the area with two keys that you can use to open this vault, which you'll see on a balloon-elevated platform northeast of the gas station.

Shimmering Shrine

While Shimmering Shrine was home to the exciting Indiana Jones puzzle last season, it has been overtaken by the Chrome this go-around. It's nevertheless a good choice for those looking for an engaging location for fights, largely thanks to its multi-tiered design that can provide cover and fun flanking opportunities. It's also home to some great loot due to its inclusion of chrome chests, which can spawn much more valuable items than traditional chests.

To the north and east of Shimmering Shrine are Herald's Sanctum and Rocky Reels, respectively, both of which make for good rotations out of the POI. These two spots are extremely popular and active, so you'll have no shortage of fun regardless of which you pick to visit next. When possible, though, you may want to pick Herald's Sanctum, and we'll explain why below.

Herald's Sanctum

As mentioned above, Herald's Sanctum is located to the north of Shimmering Shrine and has replaced last season's Sanctuary POI. This is a large location fully overtaken by the Chrome, and it has a serious focus on verticality and multi-level navigation that makes for some interesting showdowns with other squads, especially if you can find a platform higher up for some scouting and sniping. Like Shimmering Shrine, it's also home to a lot of chrome chests to help you get kitted up with better gear early.

Not only is Herald's Sanctum a great time for those seeking some fights right out of the gate, but it's also where you'll find the Herald herself. She replaces Darth Vader as this season's big boss fight and can do a real number on an unprepared team. If you're victorious, though, she drops the Mythic Herald's Burst Rifle as a reward. Sweet!

Reality Tree

The Reality Tree was introduced last season as a beautiful and magical POI, but this season has seen it become a much less visually-appealing location. However, just because the tree has lost its vibrant foliage doesn't necessarily mean it's a worse landing spot--and it may actually mean it's a better one. Whereas last season's intense foliage made things a bit cluttered up on the tree, this season's lack of such allows for much better sight lines.

Even more, there's a lot of loot in the areas around the Reality Tree, including the house just to the east and the forest to the west, making this POI a lot of fun for some outdoor shootouts. It's also a good spot to rotate from, with easily-accessible roads leading in all three important directions. Of course, the place you'll probably head from there is Tilted Towers, and it's also likely the game's most popular spot.

Tilted Towers

There are no places on the Fortnite map as well-known or active as Tilted Towers. This POI is just barely west of the center of the map, which aids you in rotating to nearly anywhere the ring pushes you. And with so many buildings available to loot, you're almost certain to walk out well-kitted--assuming you walk out at all. This is easily the most active spot on the map, both at the drop and during rotations later in the game, so be prepared for a lot of shooting. Take height with long- to medium-range weaponry when possible, and don't be afraid to know when to fold 'em--there are plenty of cars around the area for escapes.

It's worth noting that Tilted Towards also houses a high-security vault. If you and your squad can manage to round up two keys--which shouldn't be too much trouble with so much to loot--you'll have access to a significant amount of ammo, healing items, and high-tier guns.
