Fortnite Pirate Camps Locations Map For Week 7, Buccaneer's Bounty, And Season 8 Challenges

It's time to find pirate camps again.

Comments

Season 8 of Fortnite: Battle Royale brought with it many new things, including changes to the map--among them, the introduction of pirate camps. Just after these were utilized once again for a special, limited-time Buccaneer's Bounty event challenge, Week 7 challenges have come online and again want you to go to a pirate camp. Here's what you need to know and where to go.

For the Week 7 challenge, you have to head to three pirate camps in one match. That's not terribly difficult, although given how much traffic they're seeing, you still will need to be careful to ensure you aren't killed before reaching three of them.

Now Playing: Fortnite - Visit All Pirate Camps (Season 8, Week 1)

The first of the four Buccaneer's Bounty challenges is pretty simple: it asks you to visit a pirate cap in different matches 10 times. That means you'll need to play at least 10 matches in order to get it done, but what you're being asked is fairly simple--if you know where the pirate camps are located. Below, you'll find their locations and a map along with some tips regarding the existing challenges that involve the pirate camps. If you haven't already done them, this is an ideal time to double- or triple-dip and knock them all out at the same time. Additional Buccaneer's Bounty challenges will open up over the next few days.

For a Week 5 challenge, you'll need to secure three eliminations while inside a pirate camp. This is fairly simple, but your best bet is to hurry to a pirate camp as quickly as possible. Doing so will hopefully allow you to find a weapon before anyone else, giving you the upper hand. You'll only need three kills total, and thankfully, these don't need to be racked up in the same match.

To help you out, we've put together a quick guide that will direct you to exactly where these camps are located. Simply use the map below to head to the marked locations. You'll also be able to complete a Week 1 challenge if you haven't already done it; that involves visiting each pirate camp, which might temporarily be a touch more difficult thanks to the newer challenges ensuring you're going to run into kill-hungry players.

Fortnite Pirate Camp Locations

  • Northwest of Lazy Lagoon
  • Just south of the volcano
  • Northwest of Paradise palms
  • South of Salty Springs
  • West of Dusty Divot
  • Southwest of Tilted Towers
  • West of Pleasant Park

One thing to be aware of with challenges starting in Season 8 is that you can now complete them with friends. Using the Party Assist feature, you can select a challenge so that you and your squadmates contribute progress toward it together. However, this doesn't work in larger team modes, nor does it allow you to work together with strangers who fill your squad. Still, it is a way to speed up the process and hopefully earn rewards more quickly and painlessly.

As noted above, Fortnite is now home to an Apex Legends-like respawn system. Deceased teammates in most modes will now drop an item that allows them to be revived at a Reboot Van. While it's very similar to Apex, one key difference is that the revived player is not unarmed when they come back to life, though they don't keep their existing gear and building materials, either.
