Fortnite In-Game Film Festival, Short Nite, Returns This Week

Movie night, anyone?

Comments

Starting May 12 at 11 AM PT/ 2 PM ET, Epic Games will be bringing the fan favorite Short Nite film festival back to Fortnite. This marks the fourth time the film festival has graced the game's Discover page, allowing players to hop into a theater room to watch one of nine short films, with each short receiving its own dedicated theater room.

Don't worry, though, if you want to watch the whole selection, you can hang out in one room and the other shorts will continue on a loop after the selected short plays. There will also be a secret tenth short that has been split up into three segments, each segment playing in between screenings of the other nine shorts, so make sure to hang out in the theater so you can see that extra short film. This new Short Nite will also feature the world premiere of three new shorts.

Players will also be able to party up with up to seven other players (for a total of eight) to watch the shorts as a group by partying up in the lobby together before heading into the theater room, so round up a few friends and have a blast with them watching the shorts. If you'd rather view the shorts while playing other modes, a picture-in-picture mode will be available through the Settings menu.

Finally, you can grab the new Snackin' emote, available in the store starting May 11 at 5 PM PT / 8 PM ET, before you pop into the theater. Can't forget the candy before you go to the movie theater, after all. Short Nite will run in Fortnite from May 12 at 11 AM PT/ 2 PM ET through the same time on May 16.
