Fortnite Guide: Free Battle Pass Tier For Completing Week 3 Road Trip Challenge (Season 5)

Here's where to find the third free Battle Star of the season.

Season 5 of Fortnite: Battle Royale rolls on with yet another set of challenges to complete. Just as in Season 4, finishing all of the challenges in a given week will complete a corresponding Road Trip challenge. This, in turn, rewards you with a special loading screen that points to a free Battle Star hidden somewhere around the island, giving you an easy way to level your Battle Pass up by one tier.

Three sets of weekly challenges have been released thus far in Season 5, the most recent of which tasks players with following a treasure map in Flush Factory and shooting clay pigeons, among other activities. If you've managed to complete all three sets of weekly challenges to date, you'll earn the third special loading screen, which features a group of characters racing rather unsafely in the new golf cart vehicle.

Now Playing: Fortnite Season 5's Road Trip Week Three Secret Star Location

The clue this time is fairly subtle, but it can be found on the cart's license plate number: J2 SW. J2 points to a specific grid on Fortnite's map, while SW indicates that the Battle Star can be found in the southwestern corner of that area. Following those coordinates will lead you to just northeast of Wailing Woods, where you'll find the Battle Star waiting to be collected.

Just as in Season 4, you'll need to complete the corresponding Road Trip challenge in order to unlock this loading screen and find the hidden Battle Star. The Battle Star won't appear on the island unless you meet all of the prerequisites, so you can't take a shortcut by simply going to the aforementioned location without completing all of the previous challenges.

For this season, Fortnite challenges are divided into two categories: Free (which are available to all players) and Battle Pass (which are reserved for Battle Pass owners).
