Fortnite Gets Patch Notes Again; New Update Brings Back Daily Challenges

The tactical shotgun performs closer to the pump shotgun in this new update.

A new Fortnite update is out now, but what it does may not be the most notable aspect of the release. Unlike in the past, where detailed patch notes were released alongside every update, Chapter 2, Season 1 has seen Epic abandon that practice. Fortunately, with the release of update 11.20, Epic has provided us with proper patch notes, which include bug fixes and tweaks, UI adjustments, changes to items and weapons, and more. But patch notes themselves are not the only thing being reintroduced.

Epic Games has brought back Fortnite's daily challenges, giving you even more opportunities to earn experience for the stunts you pull off in the battle royale game. Up to three can be active at a time and each can be replaced once a day with another challenge.

Some items and weapons have also been altered in Fortnite's 11.20 update. Slurp Tankers will now give more health, while the tactical shotgun's headshot multiplier has been changed to bring it closer to the pump shotgun's. Elsewhere, the Bandage Bazooka has been re-enabled in this new patch following Epic Games resolving the gun's sync issues.

The 11.20 patch also addresses various bugs, including hitching issues on mobile, low-detailed building models on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, the size of John Wick Outfit’s pistol, and more.

Another piece of Fortnite news Epic shared this week concerns the end of Chapter 2's Season 1. It had been slated to come to a close in December--marking a shorter-than-average season--but it has instead been extended until early 2020. That will give Epic more time to introduce new seasonal content it has planned but has not yet detailed.
