Microsoft has announced that Flight Simulator 2004: A Century of Flight has gone gold. The next installment in the long-running series of civilian flight simulators celebrates the 100th anniversary of powered flight and includes nine historic aircraft, such as Lindbergh's Spirit of St. Louis and the Wright brothers' record-setting first successful aircraft from 1903. The game includes 24 flyable aircraft and interactive flight lessons to help pilots hone their skills. The new version introduces a dynamic weather system, automatically generated scenery, and detailed visual effects.

Microsoft's Flight Simulator 2004 is scheduled to ship on July 29 and will have a suggested price of $54.99. For more details, check out our previous coverage of the game.
