Indie developer Microids and Paul Cuisset, creator of the hit adventure game from 1992, Flashback, have announced their new game, Subject 13.

Subject 13 focuses on a kidnapped physics professor and his attempt to escape imprisonment. According to the developer, "as [professor] Franklin Fargo, players will interact with the 3D environment around them by collecting, using, and manipulating objects to overcome a multitude of devious barriers to the professor's escape." As the game progresses, the reasons why he was taken are revealed, and he is forced to confront the tragedies in his past.

Cuisset previously developed Future Wars, Moto Racer, and The Stealth Affair, in addition to Flashback. The adventure game was wildly successful and became one of the best-selling French games of all time. In 2013, Cuisset directed a remake of Flashback, but it wasn't great.

No information about release date or platforms has been revealed.
