Five Nights At Freddy's Movie Finally Starts Filming
Years in the making, the FNAF movie is now filming in New Orleans.
The Five Nights at Freddy's movie has finally begun filming. Jason Blum, the head of the movie studio Blumhouse, tweeted that February 1 was the long-awaited film's first day of production.
It appears the movie has the working title "Bad Cupcake" as seen on the clapper board. The movie is filming in New Orleans and will run through April 6, according to a post on the Film New Orleans website.

The FNAF movie is directed by Emma Tammi (The Wind, Into the Dark) from a script by Tammi, game creator Scott Cawthon, and Seth Cuddeback (Mateo).
It stars Matthew Lillard (Scooby-Doo, The Descendants) and Josh Hutcherson (Hunger Games, Future Man), with Jim Henderson's Creature Shop working on the spooky animatronics.
Blumhouse is the production company behind many popular horror films including Get Out, Insidious, and Halloween. The FNAF movie has been in the works for a long time, and Chris Columbus (Home Alone, Harry Potter) was originally attached to direct.
Cawthon has been very protective of the Five Nights at Freddy's movie and took a lot of time to make sure the film is done correctly.
"I'm determined to find the right story," he said in 2018. "I'm sticking to what I've always said: either the right movie gets made or no movie gets made. If that means that I have to start over ten more times, then that's what I'm going to do. The good thing is that each attempt gets better and better, in my opinion. So, despite the delays, it's going in the right direction."
Cawthon made headlines after his political donations came to light. He has subsequently retired from making video games to focus on his family.
