Contra and more make the transition to Xbox One.

23 Comments

While none are as big as Call of Duty: Black Ops II, five more games have been added to the list of Xbox 360 games playable on Xbox One.

As of today, Contra, RoboBlitz, 3D Ultra Minigolf Adventures, Golf: Tee It Up, and Gin Rummy are all now backwards compatible on Xbox One. They're each priced at $5.

If you already own any of these, they should show up automatically in the My Games and Apps section of your Xbox One. If you don't, you can pick them up from the Xbox Store through the links below.

As noted above, the aforementioned Black Ops II, which was the top-requested game to receive backwards compatibility, was recently added. Other recent additions include Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet, Far Cry 3, and Civilization Revolution. For more, check out our full list of all the backwards compatibility games.

Singularity, MW3, Dark Sector, Timeshift, Prey, Condemned 2 Bloodshot, and at least ONE good PGA tour game would be nice. Even Wheel Of Fortune, Jeopardy, Family Feud, and The Price Is Right would be more fun.

I swear every day it's another article "these 3 games now added to backwards compatibility list". Whoopdie fucking do.

@mentalrevolt: Is it hurting your life? No? Okay then why complain? Unless of course you really have no life and/or a complete Sony fanboy who gets butt hurt about any positive Xbox news. In that case there is no hope for you.

If you don't like or care for it just move on and ignore but I sense that you can't ignore it because you're a complete Sony tool who has no life.

Guess what there are those who DO care because these games may have been fun for them during the 360 era and this lets them know they can now play it on their Xbox one. Cry more.

@mentalrevolt: Yeah it's not that hard to get a 360 and just play ALL of them. I swear MS will never quit using their PAST success to sell consoles. Or even come out with any new games. geez.

@bubba_666: there is nothing wrong with the idea of being able to play all your old games on a current console it also means that you can either sell or put your old console into storage maybe even hand it down to your kids at a later date.

@GameSpot

Why not just update the title of "all the xb bc games" to include [Updated MM-DD-YYYY] instead of updating that article and creating a new article on only the new ones? Seems redundant every month to see both articles next to each other when new games are added.

@davillain-: seriously tho I mean turbo tunnel and pipe dreams were an absolute bitch but at least you had a continue and could get extra lives and hearts decently easily. Contra (unless you used the K code), 3 strikes and you're out (literally) haha

@davillain-:

I'm talking the PS360 versions not the SNES version, just to be clear.

If that makes no difference, then I've no interest in battle toads either

RoboBlitz was such a fun little indie game..

loved every minute of it.

@Pyrosa: The thing I hate about that particular game was it was the first to push the price of Xbox Live Arcade games to the $20 mark when it released. For that reason alone I boycotted it.
