The first wave of Xbox Game Pass titles coming to the subscription service in February has been announced, and include a mix of feudal action, classic football, and remastered city planning. Madden NFL 23 is a big get for Game Pass in February and brings all the gridiron excitement that EA Sports has refined over the years to Xbox consoles and PC on February 9.

On the same day, fans of classic anime mechs can jump into the cockpit of SD Gundam Battle Alliance, a multiplayer Gundam action-RPG that features cuter versions of the famous mobile suits as they battle each other. Think Armored Core, but with more chibi flavor to it when this game lands on console, PC, and cloud-supporting devices.

Following that, Valentine's Day will see Xbox get romantic with brutal Dark Ages combat on console, PC, and cloud devices. Arriving on February 14, Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord is set in the Dark Ages, combines strategy and action-RPG gameplay, and tasks you with conquering a deadly land so that your kingdom can rise.

On February 15, the remastered version of Cities Skylines will arrive on Xbox Series X|S and the cloud. The original Cities: Skylines is a critically acclaimed city management game, and this remaster features improved graphical performance, tweaks to the gameplay, and new environmental controls.

Shadow Warrior 3: Definitive Edition will be available on Game Pass from February 16 via console, PC, and cloud. Developed by Flying Wild Hog and published by Devolver Digital, Shadow Warrior 3 is old-school FPS action that pits you against demonic yokai from Japanese folklore. They're big, burly, and out for blood, but they're no match for swords, bullets, and witty one-liners.

Closing out this wave of Game Pass releases is Atomic Heart on February 21, which was already confirmed for the service several months ago. Looking like System Shock if it were set in Russia, Atomic Heart takes place in a robot utopia gone wrong, as humanity's automatons have decided to start a deadly robot uprising.
