"First Trailer For Venom Doesn't Feel Like A Comic Book Movie " Funny how that's only an issue when it's convenient. Funny how nobody cared that the Nolan films or Logan had nothing to do with the experience of comic books. Even some of the more recent MCU films have thrown comic books and accuracy away for mainstream appeal and childish jokes.

gotta keep an open mind about seeing this, cant have any expectations.

I'm worried that the first 1.5 hrs of the movie will be boring filler, then only during the last 10 minutes there will be true Venom form.

In the 15+ seconds I would have wasted watching that ad, I went to youtube and started watching it there.

Regardless if it's great or terrible, I'll still be watching it because I love Venom. Tom Hardy is a plus, and he'll be magnitudes better at it than Topher Grace ever was. Now...I'm just curious how they're going to tell his origin story considering the entire reason Venom was created - a villain to Spider-Man - will not be there.

A no show for Venom though. Too bad they didn't showed the transformed thing. Maybe it will happened just in the end with the whole movie pushing Eddie to struggle with it from the inside. I like this approach from Sony/Marvel on focusing on villains.

Interesting. Will be good to see them mix it up a little more in terms of style, genre and tone.

I hope that when the Symbiote get over Tom Hardy he gets really big and ripped, i don't want no slimy Venom like the one in Spider man 3. The teaser is kind of a let down because all the things shown in it have nothing to do specifically with VENOM except for the canister with the symbiote inside, all the footage look like a generic thriller and action movie, at first i thought it was a fan made teaser lolll.

I like tom hardy i hope the movie is good and not stain on his career, I think is role in "taboo" on fx was great

Tom Hardy could be a good Venom. He looked jacked playing Bane. Still not having any glimpse of him is off putting. I'm a big fan of Venom but with no attachment to Spidey they are going to have their work cut out for them.

It doesn't feel like the movie has been in production for very long at all, guess more work will be in post production but October seems a bit soon.

Yeah, this movie looks like hot garbage. Guarantee it'll bomb worse than Amazing Spider-Man 2.

You know, I thought I couldn't be more underwhelmed for this movie...

But this trailer is just so boring. It's trying way to hard to be moody and melodramatic, the action shots they showed all seem like run of the mill action scenes (generic car chase for example...), and seeing Tom Hardy doesn't get me hyped about Venom. You know what might get someone hyped for Venom? VENOM! Why are they even making this?

And honestly, a lot of it reminds me about the most recent Fantastic Four movie...
