Activision's Call of Duty: Black Ops outpaced its predecessor Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 in the sales department, racking up $650 million in sales in its first five days compared to Modern Warfare 2's $550 million. Now, the new shooter has stolen another record from its predecessor.

Black Ops' First Strike add-on pack--which debuted on the Xbox 360 on February 1--was downloaded 1.4 million times over the span of its first 24 hours of availability. That rate bests Modern Warfare 2's Stimulus Package content--which moved about 1 million units in its first day--by a hefty 25 percent.

As for the content, the First Strike map pack includes four new multiplayer environments ranging in locale from the Berlin Wall in Germany to a North American hockey rink. The add-on also bundles one environment for the game's zombie mode dubbed Ascension. It is scheduled to arrive on the PlayStation 3 on March 3 and on the PC at a later date.
