The cast also features Tahehiro Hira (Giri/Haji) as Kenta and Iko Uwais (The Raid) as Hard Master. Snake Eyes hits theaters on July 23, having been delayed from October last year. It's directed by Robert Schwentke, who previously helmed the two Divergent movies, Insurgent and Allegiant.

An official synopsis has also been released. It reads, "Henry Golding stars as Snake Eyes, a tenacious loner who is welcomed into an ancient Japanese clan called the Arashikage after saving the life of their heir apparent. Upon arrival in Japan, the Arashikage teach Snake Eyes the ways of the ninja warrior while also providing something he’s been longing for: a home. But, when secrets from his past are revealed, Snake Eyes' honor and allegiance will be tested--even if that means losing the trust of those closest to him."

Snake Eyes was introduced into the G.I. Joe toyline in 1982, and is one of the best known characters from the popular multi-media franchise. He was previously played by Ray Park in the earlier G.I. Joe movies The Rise of Cobra (2009) and Retaliation (2013), and has appeared in various animated shows, video games, and comic books.
