First Screens and More Details for Telltale's New Batman Game Revealed

The first episode of Telltale's Batman series comes out this summer.

Telltale Games is pushing out some news before E3 2016 begins. The developer today revealed the first images from its upcoming Batman series and also shared more details about it.

As you can see in the images, the game has been made to appear like a "living, breathing comic book." Check out the full suite of images in the gallery below.

Telltale also shared some new information about the voice actors for the game and the roles they play. These include Uncharted veteran Richard McGonagle, who plays Sully in the Naughty Dog series, as well as prolific voice actors Troy Baker and Laura Bailey.

Below is the initial lineup of voice actors for Telltale's Batman game; more will be announced "as the season progresses."

  • Troy Baker -- Bruce Wayne
  • Travis Willingham -- Harvey Dent
  • Erin Yvette -- Vicki Vale
  • Enn Reitel -- Alfred Pennyworth
  • Murphy Guyer -- James Gordon
  • Richard McGonagle -- Carmine Falcone
  • Laura Bailey -- Selina Kyle

"We've been hard at work at Telltale creating an all-new iteration of the iconic Batman story that puts players in the suit of billionaire Bruce Wayne, just as much as it will put them behind the mask, deciding how to carefully navigate a complex drama, rich with action, crime, corruption, and villainy lurking around every corner of Gotham City," Telltale CEO Kevin Bruner said in a statement.

"The complex life and fractured psyche of Bruce Wayne has lent itself to becoming a bold evolution of the signature 'Telltale' role-playing experience, and we couldn't be more excited as we prepare to debut the series to players across the world this summer."

The first episode in Telltale's Batman series will debut for consoles, PC/Mac, and mobile devices this summer. Additionally, a Season Pass Disc version of the game will be available for consoles "later this summer." It comes with access to all five episodes as they become available.

Telltale's Batman game will also be at E3 2016 this week. Check back later for more.

In addition to a Batman game, Telltale is working on the third season of The Walking Dead (coming this fall), as well as an unannounced Marvel game.

It's just the full game (full season). That's how it always has been.

Chances are, it will run at 10 fps, loads of missing textures, and abandoned support on PC because, WB.

@lowmercy: They've said it's their own continuity. Plus none of the Arkham voice actors are there. They would have gotten Roger Craig for Batman.

Damn I can"t wait for this...also next Season of TWD.

We know Kevin Conroy as "Batman's voice" but Troy Baker can handle it perfectly.

Soooo excited

First time I'll be buying a telltale game per episode. Usually wait for the package deal being discounted but I'm throwing my money at this one.

Plus, Wolf Among Us was my fav one by far, and this looks like it'll have similar design elements. And.... I love me some Batman.

@berserker66666: This looks to be a young Batman, which Conroy doesn't really fit anymore. It's a shame but what can you do? Plus he was probably doing that new Arkham side game and that new JL cartoon at the time of recording for this. Not to mention the Killing Joke.
