Paradox Entertainment has announced that its upcoming role-playing game Valhalla Chronicles has just entered beta testing. The game is in joint development at Paradox Entertainment and Oblivion Entertainment, and it will let players assume the role of one of four different heroes in a variety of adventures. The game is set in a fantasy world based on Viking history around the years 800-1000, and it features a number of gods drawn from Viking mythology, including Thor, Odin, and Loke.

In the game, players begin their journey as a leader of a small village in Midgard, and they must build their wealth and power through trade and warfare. Once players reach a certain stage in the game, they will gain even greater power by completing a variety of quests. The ultimate goal of the game is to defeat Loke, a half-god, half-giant who is sending evil creatures into the world.

Valhalla Chronicles is now in beta testing. To apply for a position in the beta test, visit the official Paradox Entertainment Web site. To learn more about Valhalla Chronicles, visit the game's official Web site.
