UK-based Attention To Detail is developing Salt Lake 2002, the official game of the upcoming 2002 Olympic Winter Games. The game will feature six official Olympic events: men's alpine skiing downhill, ladies' alpine skiing slalom, men's two-man bobsled, women's freestyle skiing aerials, men's ski jumping K120 individual, and men's snowboard parallel giant slalom. Each event has a variety of single-player and multiplayer modes such as Olympic, tournament, classic, and freeform.

The game will feature motion-captured animation and accurate terrain modeling, and its environments and events will be designed to reflect the actual venues and schedules used for the Olympic Winter Games. In addition, Salt Lake 2002 will feature in-game commentary and a TV-style presentation.

Attention To Detail also developed Sydney 2000, a game based on the 2000 Olympic Games. Salt Lake 2002 is scheduled for release by Eidos Interactive in January 2002.
