Delphieye has announced a new first person-shooter based on the Serious Sam engine called Nitro Family. Slated for release at the end of the year, Nitro Family will be similar in style to Serious Sam, featuring colorful and vibrant levels, highly destructive weaponry, and whimsically designed enemies such as cowboys riding hogs into battle. Arguably, the game's most interesting features are its dual-handed weapon system and the ability to execute midair combos. Equipped with an explosive weapon, players can send enemies flying into the air and easily "juggle" them in midair using a different weapon in the other hand.

Delphieye will be showing off the game at next month's E3 in Los Angeles. We'll have more information on Nitro Family as it becomes available.
