Capcom releases information on the sequel to its innovative scuba diving adventure game. First screens inside.

Capcom has released the first gameplay information on Everblue 2, a game that, like its predecessor, combines scuba diving with more traditional adventure and RPG-style gameplay. Players will again assume the role of a young scuba diver named Leo, who, along with his friend Zucco, has traveled to the Caribbean in search of adventure beneath the waves.

Although the gameplay predominantly revolves around the exploration of the sea and putting any items found to good use, the storyline sees Leo investigating the reasons behind his father's feud with a large salvage company. While in the water, players will be able to play with dolphins, explore sunken pirate ships, and photograph different types of fish, although they'll need to keep an eye out for great white sharks and the like. Back on land, players will be able to interact with and accept missions from other characters, trade bounty, and even build themselves a house, a ship, a sound studio, and an aquarium in which any fish photographed while scuba diving can be viewed.

Everblue 2 is scheduled for release in North America on February 11 and in Europe sometime in the spring. We'll bring you more information on the game as it becomes available.
