First look: Endless Ages

We take a look at Avaria's upcoming online fantasy role-playing game.

Comments

Independent game developer Avaria Corporation is working on Endless Ages, an online role-playing game set in a fantasy universe. In an interesting twist on the gameplay mechanics found in most other online role-playing games, Avaria claims that Endless Ages will incorporate elements from several different types of games, including first-person shooters, strategy games, flight simulations, and role-playing games. Players can assume the role of a warrior, a town citizen, a merchant, a bartender, a mercenary, or a guard, among other character types. The game uses a real-time engine and requires virtually no load times. It features a wide variety of vehicles including flying ships, boats, submarines, hovercraft, cargo transports, and mechs, as well as character items such as jetpacks and jump boots.

Endless Ages is scheduled for release in February. We've posted some screenshots from the game in the gallery above. For more information, visit the official Endless Ages Web site.
