First look: Defenders of the Universe

Conspiracy has released new screenshots from Tiny Toon Adventures: Defenders of the Universe, which is currently in development at Treasure. In the game, players will have to fend off an invading alien army led by Montana Max. Various levels in Defenders of the Universe have been designed to be spoofs of popular films such as Star Wars, Raiders of the Lost Ark, and others. Each character in the game will also be supplied with speech from the original voice actors.

"The most impressive technical feat, in my mind, is simply the sheer amount of activity you can have onscreen at any one time with no slowdown," said Dan Jevons, executive producer at Conspiracy. "Four players, dozens of enemies and items, explosions, aiming arrows, destructible scenery, moving platform, and squashing Plucky into a Frisbee then flinging him at an enemy is pretty darn funny!"

Tiny Toon Adventures: Defenders of the Universe is currently scheduled for release this summer. We'll have more on the game soon.
