Iowa-based game developer Vinayak 4Dgames is currently working on Atma: the Mythic Light of India, a Myst-style adventure game using Epic's Unreal Warfare game engine. The game features a series of cipher puzzles set in a detailed environment, tied together with an ancient Indian mythology theme and storyline. The game uses a first-person interface similar to those used in many action games, but its slower pace lets the developers use high-resolution character models with full motion blending and motion-captured lip-synch animation.

Vinayak sent us some exclusive new screenshots, which show off the detailed terrain and environments featured in its latest build. Atma is scheduled to be complete in the next four to six months, which could make it the first game released using the latest Unreal Warfare technology. No publisher has been announced at this time.
