First Look at Bryan Cranston as Zordon in Power Rangers Movie (Maybe)

Here's what Zordon might look like in this year's reboot.

Last summer, it was confirmed that Breaking Bad star Bryan Cranston will play the Power Rangers' mentor, Zordon, in this year's action movie. Now, we know what his big, floating head might look like in the movie. It's not the best image, but the picture below shows that Cranston's Zordon, with its blue hue, is pretty faithful to what fans may remember from the TV show.

According to ComicBook, the image reportedly comes from Qualcomm's booth at the Consumer Electronics Show for a Power Ranger VR experience. Film company Lionsgate has not released any images of Zordon from the Power Rangers movie, nor has the studio confirmed that this picture is legitimate.

Cranston has a connection to the series, as Billy Cranston (the Blue Ranger), is named after him. He also provided voicework for the TV show's early seasons.

The Power Rangers reboot movie may not be changing up the look of Zordon very much, but that can't be said for the film's other major characters. Rita Repulsa, played by Elizabeth Banks, looks quite different, while the new Power Rangers costumes look like something out of Halo.

Lionsgate is very optimistic about Power Rangers. Its CEO said last year that the film series could span up to seven movies.

Power Rangers is directed by Dean Israelite, who made Project Almanac. It's set to hit theaters March 24, 2017.
