Southern California-based game developer Contraband Entertainment is currently working on Abducted, a sci-fi survival horror game set inside an alien spaceship. The ship itself has fallen into ruin, and it houses a variety of creepy environments ranging from overgrown gardens to high-tech manufacturing facilities. The game is being built on Contraband's proprietary 3D engine, which will render everything in the game, including shadows and lights, in real time. The game's environments will all feature per-pixel bump mapping and highly detailed models.

The game is still in the early stages of development, and the developer promises to release it only when it's ready. We've posted some screenshots in the gallery above that show off some of the futuristic environments that players will encounter in the game. For more information, visit the official Abducted Web site.
