First Bleeding Edge Closed Beta Starts This Weekend

Bleeding Edge, the upcoming 4v4 competitive brawler from DmC: Devil May Cry and Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice developer Ninja Theory, will hold a closed beta this weekend on PC (via Windows 10 and Steam) and Xbox One for those who pre-order or subscribe to Xbox Game Pass at either tier.

The Bleeding Edge closed beta will run from Friday, February 14 at 10 AM PT to Monday, February 17 at 12 AM PT. Check the image below to see the closed beta times in your respective region.

Ninja Theory's product manager, Fran Mead, shared a couple of details about some adjustments made to Bleeding Edge ahead of this weekend's closed beta. This includes the addition of AI combatants in Bleeding Edge's dojo, as well as a brand-new parry mechanic that adds a new layer of defensive/offensive capabilities. Additionally, they are more customization items for you to personalize the game's assortment of heroes.

Everyone who participated in last year's technical alpha has free access to Bleeding Edge's closed beta. Pre-installation is available now and participants will be gifted the Amor heart hoverboard for playing during the closed beta. Should you pre-order Bleeding Edge, you'll receive the Punk Pack that includes a few extra goodies, such as exclusive fighter skins, an additional hoverboard, a sticker pack, and more.

To participate in this weekend's Bleeding Edge closed beta, you can download and install the game from the Xbox app on Windows 10 or within the Xbox Game Pass tab on Xbox One. Steam users will either have to pre-order the game or wait for Steam keys to be emailed (if they participated in the technical alpha) to get access to the Bleeding Edge closed beta this weekend.

A second closed beta will be held on March 13, about two weeks before Bleeding Edge launches on March 24 for PC and Xbox One.
