The Rock is a busy man. From the sequel to his disaster hit San Andreas and the next Fast & Furious movie to a long-awaited adaptation of arcade classic Rampage, the man also known as Dwayne Johnson has got plenty of projects on the way. First up however will be the big screen reboot of iconic '90s TV show Baywatch. Johnson has now revealed the first full cast pic on Instagram.

"Are we bad ass? Yes. Do we save lives? All day. Are we a dysfunctional family? Epically. Do we have fun? F*CK YES. We work hard, we play hard," he said in the message alongside the picture.

Baywatch is directed by Horrible Bosses' Seth Gordon, and is set for a May 19, 2017 release. It also stars Zac Efron, Alexandra Daddario, and Ilfenesh Hadera, with a cameo expected from the show's original star and producer David Hasselhoff. Earlier this month, Johnson posted a picture of him and Hasselhoff on set together.

Last year, Efron spoke about what audiences could expect from this modern retelling of the lifeguard drama. "We're going to make it badass, but we still want to pay homage to the original show," he told MTV. "It's really a careful combination. It's going to be badass, for sure. We're going to beat up some dudes, and swim a lot."

The original Baywatch ran from 1989 to 1999, with a subsequent show, Baywatch Hawaii, airing until 2001. It was a huge international hit, and had clocked up a total of 242 episodes by the time it was cancelled.
