Fireproof Reveals The Room 3 for iOS and Android

UK studio Fireproof Games has revealed The Room 3, the latest edition of its BAFTA-winning puzzle series.

The third game is scheduled to launch on iPhone and iPad in Spring 2015, with an Android release expected shortly afterwards.

In 2012, The Room first launched on iOS and went on to win Apple's official iPad Game of the Year award, as well as a BAFTA for Best British Game.

The game presents a virtual box layered with various secret locks that the player must discover how to open. Completing the game requires a search for secret panels, text invisible to the naked eye, and arranging mysterious items in a certain order.

Fireproof said the third game will "evolve the mysterious story and take puzzle solving to higher and weirder places than ever before".

The studio also revealed an original project, called Omega Agent, that is exclusive to Gear VR - Samsung's new virtual reality headset.

A brief synopsis of the game reads: "Set on a remote island training facility for cold-war super-spies, the player straps on a prototype nuclear-powered jetpack and blasts around a city filled with breath-taking events and daring missions. Master them all and you too could graduate as an elite spy, the Omega Agent".
