Firaxis Gets Prehistoric

Firaxis has finally announced Sid Meier's next big game, and it comes as a bit of a surprise. The yet-unnamed title will be the next installment in the "Sweep of Time" series of strategy games, which include Alpha Centauri and the upcoming Civilization III. The new game will take place in a prehistoric world filled with dinosaurs and will be a fast-moving strategy game for all ages.

Firaxis says that the game's official title will be named next year.

In the meantime, the company will give gamers a hint of what's to come with updates of Sid's Dino Diaries, which will be available on Firaxis' site.
