Now Playing: Amazon Prime Day Deals For PS4, Xbox One, And Nintendo Switch Games - GS News Update

Cast your mind back to when the PlayStation Classic was released and you'll remember that it wasn't received very well. Unlike the NES and SNES Classics that it aimed to copy the success of, Sony's little nostalgia machine wasn't as slick from a usability perspective, its emulation was questionable at best, and it lacked more than a few important features. At its original asking price of $100, it wasn't a smart purchase and would likely have left you a bit disappointed. But Amazon Prime Day is here, and that means the continuous decline in sale prices on the PS Classic we've seen in recent months go even further--you can buy one for a mere $20 right now, arguably making it one of Prime Day's best deals, but not for long.

Although the ongoing event is known as Amazon Prime Day, it's not the only retailer offering steep discounts on a wide range of items. The PS Classic is among the pieces of gaming hardware you'll find on sale at multiple stores in the US, and right now it can be had for $20 on Amazon, Target, and Best Buy.

PlayStation Classic Sale

Included in the box is a very small version of the PlayStation and two USB controllers--the price almost makes it worth getting for those controllers alone. When you boot up the PlayStation Classic, you'll be able to play games such as Metal Gear Solid, Final Fantasy VII, Rayman, Tekken 3, and Grand Theft Auto, among others.

Best Buy is hosting a 48-hour flash sale where, alongside the PlayStation Classic, there are deals on TVs, laptops, games, smartphones and more. Similarly, Target has doorbuster deals for everything from video games and peripherals to headphones, TVs and more.

For more Amazon deals, including those from other retailers, keep an eye on our Amazon Prime Day hub, where we already have plenty of excellent gaming deals, and we'll be regularly updating it with more as they become available.
