Now Playing: Final Fantasy 14 Shadowbringers First Raid Is Live - GS News Update

If you've been itching to try Square Enix's MMO Final Fantasy XIV, now could be the time. Prime Day is underway and among the various deals on games and hardware is a cheap price for the recently released and highly regarded Final Fantasy XIV Shadowbringers expansion. The expansion is on sale for $34, down from the usual $40.

Keep in mind this is the expansion only, so you'll need to download the base game too, which is free up to level 35. This marks the third major expansion, after Heavensword and Stormblood. A complete package with all previous expansions retails for $60. If you jump in now, you can check out the just-released update, which opens up the expansion's first raid and makes other adjustments.

"Equal parts redemption, vengeance, cruelty, and sassy Elezen, Shadowbringers promises a hell of a lot when you take your first steps into Norvrandt and delivers a truly spectacular finish even if it stumbles a little along the way," Ginny Woo wrote in GameSpot's review.

Prime Day is one of Amazon's biggest sales days of the year, and this year other retailers have started challenging Amazon with sales of their own. The result is something akin to a Black Friday in the middle of summer, with lots of deals across several stores. Check out more of the best deals below to get your shop on.
