Final Fantasy's Lightning Is "Perfect Avatar" for Heroic Women, Fashion Company Says

as a designer and a gamer this is awesome! think what you will about Lightning as a character or fashion, this is a perfect match. it's awesome. gaming is being acknowledged, integrated and assimilated more and more by a larger variety of industries. it's fantastic.

So femcloud is a hero and that makes her perfect for a fashion model? You're right, fashion models are also great role models for women. Starve yourself, constantly be busy doing things you don't' really want to do but have to to make money, and basically objectify yourself as a career. It's not like she's Tyra Banks who at least pretends to help people. As little as I like lightning, I'm pretty sure if she was handed a designer bag she'd chop it in half and light it on fire.

Sick of Lightning and anything to do with her. Femcloud sucks. The end. Even Cloud was better and Cloud blows. Her sister was better too. Actually, in fact, every character in FF13 was better than Claire, including Lebreau who had like 3 lines with XIII and XIII-2 combined. Even Jihl. Even Barthelehellhandalus. Lebreau was also more attractive. As was Serah. And I would think Vanille and Fang would be better women heroes.

Could we get some more of her please though? Worst protagonist to date. She was never "perfect"ly attractive other than her obvious Square Enix barbie doll skin, she never displayed much proof that she was a human being, and the only cool thing about her was her sword sheathing animation.

I can't believe all the hate for Lightning. I fell in love with Lightning in her first game and loved her in all successive ones. It just shows you how different everybody's tastes are, I guess. I, personally, found Ciri an absolutely obnoxious spoiled brat.

Lightning is not only one of the worst characters in any Final Fantasy game, but video gaming in general.

Not a Final Fantasy fan, but this seems utterly soulless. If a company wanted to design an outfit that would be worn in-game (either practically or as a gag-outfit) that's fine.

Using a videogame character exclusively for fashion adverts is taking unrealistic to a whole new level. That said, I already had no respect for the fashion industry (gimme normal jeans and shirts any day of the week) so perhaps I'm biased.

I'm so sick of Lightning.

Lightning is no Avatar for Heroic Women, she is an annoying, adolescent, emotionless bimbo who has got quite an annoying attitude that make her seriously one of the worst Final Fantasy characters ever. Since the XIII trilogy is over isn't it time that bitch stays dead for the good of the series. Not to mention some of her outfits in Lightning Returns are just objectionable. Lightning is no heroine and she never will be.

She looks super kawaii.

Main reason I'm not feeling it is because of Lightning's moody personality, I could see her sister Serah more naturally wearing LV ha.

I would think Rikku and Lulu from Final Fantasy 10 would be better fashion models than Lightning. Considering Lightning still wears her old military equipment throughout the entirety of Final Fantasy 13, even during her flashbacks of her at home, I don't think she's all that fashion-conscious.

As soon as a female game character gets the lime light instantly its about fashion vanity and clothes. Nothing to do with the her being a bad ass fighter like a male character.

I'd go with Bayonetta or Samous or maybe Lara Croft instead.

She is so emotionless, lacks character and badly written she might as well be a manekin. So I see why the fashion company would like her

Minus the cool intro and battle system I can't say I cared for any of the FInal fantasy 13 characters. It also didn't help that the the actors couldn't act out together in the studio like they do in some other games to help really sell the emotion.

Obviously somebody who didn't play any of the FF13 games.

Bayonetta for as much flak as she gets is probably one of the finest examples of a heroic female character that puts Lightning to shame. Although Tetsua Namura has done a good job of shaming her to the masses so far.

They at least got the 'perfect avatar' part right.

I never had a problem with Lightning, but they could do better then this but hey, who am I to judge? Hell I like Lightning so I guess this is a good start.
