Final Fantasy X this year?

SquareSoft's latest entry in the Final Fantasy series, Final Fantasy X, may ship before year's end. Released in Japan this past September, the game marked two firsts for the series: It is the first entry in the series on the PlayStation 2, and it's the first game in the series to feature voice acting. Due to the large amount of speech in the game, a domestic release was not expected until next year. However, many online vendors have moved the game's release up from its projected January release to December.

According to Square EA, Final Fantasy X, originally slated for a January release, may be available before the end of the year. However, it cannot confirm a specific ship date at this time.
